How do you lead a team with a diverse culture?

Progress is a journey, so it is important to stretch yourself and expand your horizons. But everyone has different values and their own unique strengths and backgrounds. To encourage my team to transform and improve themselves, I first need to understand their values and motivations, treat them with respect and share the company’s vision.

When did you realize that you wanted to be a researcher in the pharmaceutical field?

When I was university, I realized that I wanted to make a positive contribution to society. Due to my passion for science and health, the pharmaceutical industry was the perfect place for me to fulfill my career aspirations in a meaningful way.

What do you enjoy most about your current role?

I enjoy working with my talented colleagues who are all passionate about discovering new drugs. CPR has built a culture that fosters innovation – one that allows us to explore novel approaches and methodologies in identifying drug candidates. I believe it is this pioneering spirit that enables us to advance to each stage of drug discovery. The people who have been part of building such a great culture are the DNA of CPR.

What activities do you enjoy during your spare time?

I enjoy playing golf! I also love travelling, cooking and watching NBA games.

What do you like most about CPR?

Drug discovery is always a challenge. But we never give up, even when up against the toughest antibody profile project. I enjoy exchanging insights and brainstorming solutions with my fellow scientists. It is inspirational to learn from each other. Everyone comes from a different background, so each of us brings our own unique ideas and approaches on how to tackle complex projects.
