Overview
You will support the Pharmacology unit by performing experiments, contributing to cell-based screening, molecular biology workflows, and routine lab operations. You will follow SOPs, maintain accurate records, uphold data quality, and collaborate primarily within Pharmacology and, as projects require, with colleagues in other units.
You communicate clearly, collaborate well in multidisciplinary settings, and take ownership of assigned tasks. You are eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to continuously improving your technical skills. You work with care and attention to detail, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare samples and execute cell-based pharmacology screening assays according to SOPs
- Perform molecular biology workflows (plasmid prep, cloning, RNA purification, PCR/RT‑qPCR)
- Run ELISA, reporter assays, flow cytometry data acquisition, and protein analyses (SDS‑PAGE/Western blot)
- Maintain mammalian cell lines (adherent and suspension); assist with 3D models (e.g., spheroids)
- Maintain accurate experimental records and data integrity
- Prepare common reagents and manage lab consumables
Requirements
- Degree in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Molecular Biotechnology, or a related field with 0 – 2 years of relevant lab experience
- Familiarity with core lab techniques, especially mammalian cell culture and in vitro cellular assays
- Ability to follow SOPs precisely and maintain high standards of data quality and documentation
- Hands-on exposure to molecular biology techniques, 3D cell culture, flow cytometry, and/or microscopy will be advantageous
- Experience with cell engineering, primary cell handling, or in vivo sample handling will be considered an added advantage
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
