How does your work in the Admin division support the Research units at CPR?

Procurement helps the Research teams to secure the best quality products and services at the greatest value. We aim to reduce costs, reduce supply risk and enable stakeholders to meet their research goals.

Did you face any challenges when you first joined CPR? How did you address these challenges?

When I first joined CPR, a procurement software system had yet to be implemented. At that time, it was difficult to perform purchasing data analysis to avoid issues such as overstocking, expiring items and limited storage space. My team thus worked with key stakeholders in Research to identify their needs and usage requirements in order to design and document proper procurement procedures, as well as to build new storage spaces.

To further streamline the procurement processes, we implemented a procurement software system in 2017. This system introduced greater efficiency into the procurement process and helped us to optimize inventory levels. I believe that it is necessary to be proactive in addressing issues or challenges at the workplace. This keeps me motivated and wanting to achieve more each day!

In your downtime, do you prefer reading books or watching TV?

I find it more relaxing to watch TV. I like watching dramas, especially detective series with intriguing storylines that keep you guessing!

What do you like most about working in CPR?

I’ve been with CPR for more than 7 years and am very happy to be part of my team. I appreciate the growth opportunities available here. CPR supports both our professional and personal development, including assistance with short-term and long-term courses.
